This blog is intended to be a forge for the creation and testing of ideas encouraging the transition from merely male to manly man, especially in regards to sexuality and sexual relationships. Sexuality is a pervasive quality in the human experience, though, so many of the posts will deal with broader issues than simply “sex”.
My apologetic of sexual purity flows from Theology to Philosophy to the Heart and finally a Life of honorable choices and actions.
Theology lays the essential moral foundations as expressed through scripture; God has not been silent regarding sexual morality.
Philosophy understands that what God has spoken was spoken for a reason and seeks to understand the broader moral truths in what He has said; what God has said regarding sexual morality is good, and not simply because God said it.
The Heart absorbs the goodness of God’s instructions and is motivated to follow them out of a love for others, specifically its spouse; God’s commands are good for one’s relationships and to not follow His commands harms relationships.
A Life of honorable choices and actions is then made much more clear and much more vital; goodness matters.
I unashamedly desire to promote a specific sexual philosophy in the hopes of changing Christian culture, empowering the Church to raise men and women of greater honor.
I used to write under the name Honor Steward not because I am always honorable, but because I seek to be a steward of the virtue of honor, encouraging it, defending it, spreading it and combating dishonor. But after a while that name sounded just too damned pretentious.
